Booking and Payment

How do I book the accommodation?


If you are satisfied with the facility, its location and the tariff, you may call us or send an SMS or an e-mail providing the details of your visit such as the duration of your stay, number of people and specific dates. Depending on the availability, we will block the accommodation for the requested dates.




Do I need to pay an advance for booking?


Once we block your accommodation for the requested dates, we will send our bank details to you for an advance payment. 40% of the expected billing needs to be transferred or deposited into our bank account against which we will confirm your booking.
No advance payment is required for company bookings.




What is the check-in and check-out time?


At the time of booking, guests are required to indicate the expected time of check-in to help us plan, prepare and keep the rooms ready. This could be at any time of the day or night. Check-out time is calculated at 24 hours or its multiples after the indicated check-in time.




Can I pay for half a day?


Generally, one hour grace time is given for Check out, beyond 24 hours. Up to 6 hours beyond 24 hours from the indicated time of check-in, half day rent is payable. Subsequently, full day tariff is applicable. Up to 48 hours prior to the indicated time of check-in, no cancellation charges are applicable.




How do I cancel the booking?


You may cancel the booking either by email or phone or message. However, one full day charge for the number of rooms booked is applicable as cancellation fee.




What and how much tax is applicable?


W.e.f. July 1, 2017, GST is levied at 12%.




How do I make the payment?


Payment can be made through online NEFT / RTGS transfer. All credit and debit cards are accepted. Cash payments are also accepted. Guests may also deposit the requisite amount in any of Canara Bank or ICICI Bank account at the place of their residence for advance payment.




What is the pattern of payment after I check-in?


Guests staying for less than a week shall settle the bill at the time of check-out after deducting the advance amount. Guests on a long stay shall make weekly or bi-weekly payment depending on the advance paid and as mutually decided at the time of booking.





Amenities and Facilities

How are you different from a regular hotel?


We have fully furnished and air-conditioned 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom flats with a living room, dining area and kitchen facility, at a relatively lesser price so that you need not be confined to four walls of a room as in case of a hotel.
You will also have the liberty to cook food that you like if you are a guest on a long stay.




What are the amenities available in the house?


A flat is fully furnished with a sofa set and a centre table in the living room; dining set in the dining space; refrigerator, microwave, gas stove, cooking gas, cutlery, crockery, etc. in the kitchen; cots and mattresses to sleep comfortably; television with cable connection; wardrobes and a workspace with a table and chair within the bedrooms.




What about iron box, hair drier, etc.?


Iron box, iron board, hair drier and coffee/tea maker are available against your request. Please contact the manager regarding the same.




Do you have facilities for laundry?


Yes, we do have an in-house laundry facility. If required, a washing machine will be provided to guests on a long stay.




Do you have internet/wi-fi?


High speed, unlimited Wi-fi Airtel internet facility is provided to guests free of cost. Guests browse, exchange emails, chat, other regular activities online for work, etc. To download files of more than 2GB (movies, videos, etc.) please contact the Manager.




Will I get the same room that I have seen online?


All our rooms are similar and equally good. We always try to accommodate the customers’ preferred room. However, in case of exigency or guests on a long stay continuing on, we will be constrained to allot a different room, but an equally good one.




Do you provide pick-up and drop facility?


We have an arrangement to pick-up and drop our guests from and to the airport, railway station and bus stand, with prior intimation. The desired size of the vehicle along with a placard can be arranged.




What about local transport?


We also make arrangement for local transport when you are in Bengaluru to cater to your work, business, liesure and health requirements. Guests can choose from an array of convenient and affordable packages such as 40 Kms/4 Hours, 80 Kms/8 Hours, etc.




Is the entire building a serviced apartment?


Our main building, which has 6 two-bedroom flats is completely a serviced apartment. This, along with the adjacent 6 bedroom large villa, are earmarked for guests coming from various different companies.




How about the food at your place?


Breakfast is complimentary depending on the package the guests choose. Lunch, snacks and dinner are also available in-house against order. We only prepare vegetarian food and in fact, many of our corporate guests stay with us for the fresh, hot, home-made, phulkas, sabjis, dals, etc.

There are over a dozen eateries within a radius of 1 km. If guests require any special cuisine, we can deliver the same to you from these eateries.




What do you offer for breakfast?


Cornflakes, hot milk, fresh fruit juice, bread toast, butter, jam, omelette, one south Indian dish, coffee/tea/milk are offered for the Breakfast.




What kind of assistance do I get at The Tavern?


Our team at ‘The Tavern’ are courteous and ever-smiling. They understand the ‘Value of Customer' and the ‘Meaning of Service’. Right from carrying your luggage at the time of check-in, till the luggage is loaded back to the vehicle while checking out, they are always there to help you. Daily housekeeping, bathroom and toilet cleaning, bedding, room service – all these are taken care of.




Is there any special package for people travelling for medical treatment?


We understand and empathise with the difficulties patients face in this world of rising medical costs. In this light, we offer the lowest possible prices to medical tourists who are visiting Bengaluru to avail medical treatment in Fortis, Apollo, Rainbow, Jayadeva, Sagar and other hospitals nearby, as a gesture of our sensitivity.




What about safety and security at your place?


We have a dedicated person for round-the-clock security. We have also installed CCTV cameras at strategic locations in all our facilities. Further, we are very selective and choosy about entertaining our guests. Only corporate executives and families are offered accommodation. ID proof and address proof for all guests are mandatory.




Do you have a parking facility?


We have ample space for parking for our guests





Dos and Don'ts

Is there any restriction on the number of people accommodated in a flat or room?


Two people can be comfortably accommodated in each room. In addition, an extra person can be accommodated with an extra bed set at an extra charge. Therefore, typically, in a four-bedroom villa, a maximum of 8+4 people can be accommodated.




Do I need to provide ID proof for my stay?


Guests are required to provide copies of ID Proof and Address Proof. Aadhar Card / Voter ID Card / Passport which will have both proofs in one document would be ideal. Company guests need not provide any Proof.




Can I book the villa for our colleagues’ weekend party?


Sorry, ours is a corporate guest house and we are very selective in choosing our Guests. Following are not entertained at our facility -

  • Weekend Party
  • Birthday Party
  • Unmarried Couple




Is the stay for children complimentary?


Children below 6 years will have a complimentary stay. If s/he is older, extra person charges apply.




Can I bring my pet along?


We are also animal lovers. However, considering the fact that pets are likely to disturb co-residents and other neighbours, sorry, pets are not allowed.




Is smoking allowed?


There are specific ‘No Smoking Zones’ at various locations. We urge the guests to cooperate.




How do I report an issue?


You may call either the reception or the manager from your room and report your issue. If not addressed, you may escalate the matter to the director.




What are the House Rules?


There are only a few house rules as long as you are a good citizen, following the law of the land and respect your neighbours. Since our facility is a Corporate Guest House, we have certain mandatory rules:

  • ID proof and address proof are compulsory
  • Loud music, dance, noise and parties are not allowed
  • Guests may meet their visitors in the lounge
  • A strict NO for unmarried couples
